Controller
Peak Energy is seeking a Controller to establish and lead the company's accounting function, reporting directly to the Vice President of Finance. This pivotal role involves building the finance infrastructure from the ground up, supporting the company's mission to accelerate the transition to clean, reliable energy through advanced energy storage systems.
The Controller will be responsible for developing internal accounting operations, including general ledger management, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and reconciliations. Key duties encompass defining accounting policies and internal controls, designing scalable processes to support manufacturing and project development, and implementing the company's first monthly close process with clear timelines and accuracy standards.
Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, along with a CPA certification. A minimum of seven years of progressive accounting experience is required, preferably within a growing company. The role demands a deep understanding of U.S. GAAP, experience leading ERP implementations, and strong technical skills with a hands-on approach. Experience in manufacturing, clean energy, or capital project–intensive industries is preferred.
