As a Corporate Energy Lawyer at Chapman Tripp, you will join a highly regarded legal team in Auckland dedicated to shaping the future of New Zealand’s energy sector. In this position, you will work closely with corporate clients, energy companies, and industry stakeholders on high-profile mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, commercial contracts, and regulatory matters. You will play a pivotal role advising on major transactions, project development, and complex issues in the evolving energy market, ensuring clients stay ahead of legislative changes and market trends.

The ideal candidate will have at least three years of post-qualification experience in corporate or energy law, with a strong academic background and proven ability to manage sophisticated legal work. Experience advising on large-scale transactions, regulatory compliance, and commercial negotiations in the energy sector is preferred. You should possess excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills, and be able to demonstrate sound commercial judgment.
