Corporate M&A / Regulatory Change Specialist
Axiom Talent Platform is seeking a Corporate M&A / Regulatory Change Specialist to support a leading technology company in San Francisco, California. This hybrid role requires on-site presence at least three days per week. The specialist will leverage their expertise in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and regulatory compliance to assist in developing and evaluating legal AI models through realistic scenarios and training data.
Key responsibilities include creating M&A and regulatory scenarios, prompts, training data, and evaluation rubrics for legal AI models. The specialist will support workflows involving due diligence, data room synthesis, regulatory change monitoring, impact mapping, and cross-document contract extraction. They will oversee training and evaluation workflows from scenario development through quality checks, validation, and rating. Additionally, the role involves stress-testing legal AI outputs and collaborating with researchers and vendors to enhance model performance, as well as reviewing model-generated transactional and regulatory analysis for accuracy and practical application.
Candidates should have an active California Bar admission and over five years of experience in M&A due diligence and/or regulatory compliance. Substantive experience with regulatory change analysis is essential. Proficiency in legal research and analysis, document drafting and review, and legal strategy is required. Familiarity with SEC EDGAR and legal research tools such as Westlaw or LexisNexis is preferred. A Juris Doctor degree or equivalent and licensure to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction are mandatory.
The estimated total compensation for this full-time role ranges from $104,500 to $325,000 per year, based on factors such as experience, skills, certifications, location, and business needs.
