Hometap is seeking a Counsel, Commercial and Strategic Initiatives to serve as a legal advisor embedded across the business. This role is central to supporting Hometap’s mission of enabling homeowners to access the equity in their homes without taking on debt, through innovative home equity investment solutions. As Counsel, you will partner closely with cross-functional teams, providing nuanced legal and regulatory guidance on matters ranging from data privacy and artificial intelligence to dispute resolution. Approximately 70% of your time will be spent advising on strategic initiatives and operational optimization, working directly with departmental leadership to align legal strategy with commercial objectives and streamline legal operations. The remaining 30% of your responsibilities will focus on commercial and vendor agreements.
