Counsel
The Counsel position at LA28 offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the legal framework of the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. As an integral member of the legal team, the Counsel will collaborate closely with the Vice President, Deputy General Counsel, and other departments to provide comprehensive legal support across various facets of the organization.
Key responsibilities include supporting negotiations with venues and commercial and governmental partners, drafting and reviewing a wide array of legal documents such as confidentiality agreements, memorandums of understanding, and master service agreements, and ensuring compliance with applicable international, federal, state, and local laws and regulations. The role also involves working with outside counsel on matters requiring representation and staying current on industry-wide legal trends and developments.
Candidates should possess at least three years of experience in transactional matters, with prior experience in a law firm and/or in-house setting. Experience in construction, architecture and engineering, sports, real estate, live-events, or public law is considered a plus. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent analytical skills, project and time management abilities, and a positive, team-oriented attitude. A Bachelor's degree from a four-year accredited university and a Juris Doctor Degree from an ABA-accredited law school are required.
