Creative Director - Southeast Asia
Canva is seeking a Creative Director to lead its brand presence across Southeast Asia, focusing on Indonesia and the Philippines. This role involves overseeing the creative vision and execution in these markets, ensuring alignment with Canva's global brand while incorporating local cultural nuances. The position offers flexibility in work location, with options in Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, or the Philippines.
The Creative Director will be responsible for setting the creative direction in Southeast Asia, leading and expanding an in-market creative team, and managing creative production across various channels, including brand, performance, social, events, and partnerships. This includes balancing in-house, agency, and freelance resources to deliver high-quality creative work efficiently. The role also involves partnering with Growth, Product Marketing, and Research teams to develop a rigorous creative testing process, using data to refine output and validate new messaging strategies.
Candidates should have over 10 years of experience in both agency and in-house settings, with a broad background spanning brand, performance, and social media. Proven experience across multiple Southeast Asian markets is essential, with the ability to create work that resonates locally. The ideal candidate will be comfortable contributing to large-scale brand campaigns and TVCs, as well as engaging in performance creative and social media initiatives. Experience in building and leading creative teams, including hiring and establishing effective workflows, is also required.
