Cybersecurity, Partner
Hut 8 Corp. is seeking a Cybersecurity Partner to lead and define the company's cybersecurity strategy, architecture, governance, and risk management across various environments, including corporate IT, mining operations, data centers, cloud, and AI/compute. This senior leadership role requires an experienced security executive capable of collaborating with the board, executive leadership, technology teams, and operational stakeholders to establish and execute a comprehensive security program for a rapidly scaling, publicly traded company.
The Cybersecurity Partner will be responsible for developing and owning Hut 8's enterprise cybersecurity strategy, target operating model, multi-year roadmap, and security architecture. Key duties include establishing security priorities, decision rights, risk tolerances, and success measures; serving as the senior cybersecurity advisor to executive leadership and the board; and overseeing the enterprise security control framework aligned with recognized standards and regulatory requirements. Additional responsibilities encompass managing the cybersecurity governance, risk, and compliance program, setting defense-in-depth architecture, building and leading the Security Operations capability, and managing the security vendor and MSSP ecosystem.
Candidates should have over 8 years of progressive cybersecurity or information security experience, including significant experience operating as a security leader, head of security, CISO, or equivalent enterprise security owner. Experience in building or transforming a cybersecurity program in a complex, fast-growing, or publicly traded organization is essential, with SOX experience strongly preferred. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field is required; a master's degree or certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or GIAC are strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of security architecture, cloud and SaaS security, identity and access management, network security, endpoint security, data security, and OT or industrial control environments.
