Data Analytics Engineer
As a Data Analytics Engineer at Prodigy Finance, you will be an integral part of the Data Team, which is responsible for the analytical data infrastructure supporting portfolio analytics, lender reporting, funding operations, and credit risk. Prodigy Finance is a fintech company dedicated to providing socially responsible financial services, enabling students from over 150 countries to pursue postgraduate studies at top universities. In this role, you will focus on building and maintaining ETL pipelines, data models, and reporting workflows that ensure the reliability of critical data systems. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include writing, debugging, and maintaining SQL and Python code to develop data models in the warehouse, adapting ETL code as source data evolves, and supporting the creation and maintenance of reports in tools like Tableau and Metabase. You will collaborate closely with teams in Credit Risk, Capital Markets, Compliance, and Funding Operations to meet their data needs.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in a data engineering or analytics engineering role, with strong proficiency in SQL and Python for data transformation and pipeline work. Experience with AWS Redshift or similar cloud data warehouse technologies is essential, along with familiarity with GitHub workflows and version-controlled development practices. Demonstrable use of AI coding tools, such as GitHub Copilot, is also required.
