Data Migration Engineer
The Data Migration Engineer at Komodo Health plays a pivotal role in the Data Migration team, focusing on transferring client data from legacy systems and third-party platforms into Salesforce-based products tailored for pharmaceutical and life sciences clients. This position is integral to Komodo Health's mission of reducing the global burden of disease by leveraging data-driven insights.
Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining SQL-based transformation pipelines that ingest raw source files, applying complex business logic, and preparing records for loading into target Salesforce environments. The engineer will also build and enhance a robust SQL-based validation framework, write unit tests, and automate validation scripts to ensure data integrity and alignment with defined mappings. Additionally, the role involves conducting deep profiling of source data extracts to identify quality gaps and resolving transformation defects and load errors.
Candidates should have at least 2 years of hands-on experience in data migration or ETL processes, with strong proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and stored procedures. Experience with ETL or integration platforms such as SSIS, Talend, or Informatica is essential. A solid understanding of QA and data validation processes, including building structured validation logic and unit tests, is also required. Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and a problem-solving mindset in ambiguous data environments are advantageous.
