Data Migration Specialist - PracticePanther
The Data Migration Specialist at PracticePanther is responsible for ensuring smooth transitions of customer data from legacy systems into the PracticePanther platform. This role is integral to the Data Migrations team, which focuses on Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes to facilitate seamless onboarding experiences for clients. PracticePanther, a product of Paradigm, offers legal practice software solutions that help law firms manage, automate, and grow their operations.
Key responsibilities include understanding client data requirements and creating migration plans, writing scripts to perform data transformations and validations on imported data such as contacts, financial data, and cases, and working with customers to troubleshoot and resolve issues. The specialist will also manage the inbound migration queue, set appropriate expectations with stakeholders, enhance the overall migration process, and monitor, document, and report progress at the project level.
The ideal candidate should have at least one year of programming or scripting experience, specifically with Python, and one year of experience in data transformation, data pipelines, or data analytics. Proficiency with relational database technologies such as SQL Server or MySQL is required, along with at least two years of experience using Excel, including functions and formulas. Experience with Jira and Salesforce is considered a plus.
