This pivotal role involves close collaboration with the Marketing, Go-To-Market (GTM), and Finance teams to define success metrics, analyze channel and campaign performance, and guide investment decisions to drive growth. As one of the initial hires in this capacity, the individual will be instrumental in developing core marketing metrics, scalable dashboards, and analytical frameworks that support data-driven decision-making across the company.

Key responsibilities include embedding within the Marketing team to identify opportunities for performance enhancement and growth. The role entails defining, tracking, and refining core metrics across marketing and business functions, as well as building scalable dashboards and reporting frameworks. The Senior Marketing Data Scientist will design, implement, and evaluate models such as multi-touch attribution, marketing mix modeling, and incrementality to assess marketing channel and campaign contributions. Additionally, the position involves applying statistical and machine learning techniques to model user behavior, forecast trends, and identify optimization opportunities. The individual will translate complex analyses into actionable insights for cross-functional partners and executives, collaborate with teams to develop robust data infrastructure, and lead analytics initiatives that synthesize market dynamics and customer feedback into strategic business opportunities.

The ideal candidate possesses over six years of experience in quantitative roles within highly ambiguous environments, preferably as an early data scientist or marketing analyst in a rapidly growing product company or research organization. Proficiency in SQL is essential, with extensive experience in extracting large datasets and designing ETL workflows. Expertise in working with Salesforce, Marketo, and advertising spend data is required, along with strong experience with modern data stacks such as DBT, Looker, and Omni. Proficiency in programming languages like Python and R is necessary. The candidate should have experience in defining, implementing, and operationalizing marketing campaign and channel-level metrics from inception. Strong communication skills are vital for effective collaboration with leaders across Marketing, GTM, and Finance. A strategic mindset capable of generating insights that inform long-term product and business direction is also essential.

The compensation for this role ranges from $170,000 to $200,000 USD annually, with additional equity offerings. Harvey provides comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage, retirement benefits including a 401(k) match up to 4%, and flexible paid time off.
