Data Scientist, Merchant

As a Data Scientist at Wolt, you will be an integral part of the Merchant Analytics team, focusing on enhancing the success of our merchant partners. Wolt is a technology company that began with restaurant food delivery in 2014 and has since expanded to offer delivery of various goods in over 500 cities across 30 countries. In 2022, Wolt joined forces with DoorDash, continuing to dream big and expand globally.

In this role, you will delve into complex datasets to identify and solve critical business challenges. Your responsibilities will include diagnosing problem areas, developing solutions, designing experiments, and influencing decision-making processes. This position offers a unique opportunity to drive actionable insights from the frontlines, rather than performing traditional analytics tasks.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. A minimum of 3 years in an analytics or data science role is required. Proficiency in SQL and Python or R is essential, along with experience in designing and analyzing A/B tests and knowledge of quasi-experimental methodologies. A strong understanding of causal inference concepts and prior experience in building data visualizations using tools like Tableau, Mixpanel, or Looker are also necessary.
