As a Data Strategy Director at WPP Media, you will play a pivotal role in transforming the company from a traditional media agency into a leading consultancy for data-driven marketing and content. This position involves formulating a clear vision for data-driven marketing, continuously innovating, and providing strategic support to clients and colleagues to ensure success. You will bridge the gap between business, marketing, media, creativity, data, and technology to address complex marketing challenges.

In this role, you will assist clients in effectively connecting marketing, media, data, and technology. Collaborating closely within client teams, you will offer advice on optimizing the use of marketing data and technology. Your responsibilities include identifying opportunities, understanding complex marketing issues, and translating them into actionable data-driven solutions—from strategy to implementation. You will also guide transformation projects that help organizations adopt a truly data-driven approach and drive the development of new propositions.

The ideal candidate possesses an academic level of thinking and working, with excellent proficiency in both Dutch and English. You should have a passion for data, technology, and marketing, and be comfortable tackling complex issues. The ability to translate strategic and tactical goals into clear, actionable strategies and concrete projects for data and media specialists is essential. You should be capable of engaging in strategic discussions with CMOs and other senior stakeholders, understanding client needs and challenges, and providing persuasive advice. A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience as a consultant or strategist within marketing, a media agency, or a consultancy firm is required.
