The Dell Global Alliance Director at Canonical is a strategic leadership role responsible for managing and expanding the alliance with Dell Technologies on a global scale. This position involves developing strong relationships with senior executives, driving revenue growth, and overseeing a team of Business Development Managers. The role requires a deep understanding of the Linux and cloud software ecosystem, as well as the ability to execute go-to-market strategies and manage day-to-day alliance operations.

Key responsibilities include building and owning the strategy and development of the alliance globally, expanding strategic relationships, and enabling Dell teams on the partnership. The director will grow business motions with Dell Technologies across various channels, increase Dell's awareness of open-source capabilities on Canonical Ubuntu, and manage a team of experienced business development managers. Additionally, the role involves delivering on targets, providing a voice for the partner, and traveling internationally to drive partnerships in person.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience as an Alliance Manager or Director, with solid experience in Linux, virtualization, containers, and other cloud technologies. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to build strong relationships with executives at all levels. A strong business acumen and strategic mindset focused on driving revenue growth and market expansion are required. The candidate should also possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, an autonomous and disciplined work ethic, and experience managing cross-functional teams with a track record of operational excellence.
