Deputy City Solicitor or Senior Attorney - Tort Litigation Unit

The City of Philadelphia is seeking a Deputy City Solicitor or Senior Attorney to join its Tort Litigation Unit within the Law Department. This role involves defending the City and its employees in civil tort litigation, including premises liability, motor vehicle, and property damage claims, primarily in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas. The Tort Litigation Unit is a collegial, fast-paced, and challenging environment where attorneys are expected to independently manage their caseloads from initial pleadings through settlement or trial.
