Everlaw is seeking a Design Program Manager to establish and manage the operational framework for its expanding product design team. This role focuses on enhancing the design process for AI-powered litigation tools, ensuring efficiency and clarity. The position is based in Oakland, CA, offering a hybrid work schedule with in-office presence on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, and remote work options on Tuesdays and Fridays.

In this role, you will define and oversee the design operating model, including planning, estimation, sequencing, and handoffs. You will establish design readiness criteria and coordinate pre-launch quality reviews to ensure features meet high standards for craft, responsiveness, accessibility, and edge cases. Additionally, you will manage the interfaces between Design, Product Management, Engineering, User Research, and Technical Writing, defining scope agreements, tracking dependencies, and resolving conflicts. You will also build and promote lightweight design operations rhythms, frameworks, and templates to streamline team workflows, manage design resourcing and bandwidth tracking to inform staffing decisions, and maintain reporting on design capacity, throughput, and readiness for leadership.

Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in Design Program Management or Design Operations supporting product design teams in complex, enterprise B2B SaaS or data-heavy environments. Strong skills in balancing competing priorities across multiple stakeholders, building and scaling design operations frameworks, and excellent communication and storytelling are essential. A strong understanding of user-centered design methodologies, modern UX workflows, and tools like Figma is required. Experience with project tracking tools like Jira or emerging AI tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Design) is also beneficial.

The expected salary range for this role is $153,000 to $200,000 annually, with final compensation depending on experience and skills. The position is also eligible for equity and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, flexible spending accounts, paid parental leave, and a 401(k) plan with company matching up to 4% of eligible annual compensation. Additional perks include 17 paid vacation days, 11 federal holidays, paid sick leave, and four additional company-wide days off per year.
