DevOps Engineer
Wilson Elser, a prominent defense litigation law firm with over 1,400 attorneys across 46 offices in the United States, is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join their dynamic IT department. This role is integral to the firm's ambitious cloud strategy, focusing on Azure-based solutions. The DevOps Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software and data engineers, product and project managers, business analysts, and infrastructure architects, to drive the firm's digital transformation initiatives.
The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for creating and maintaining scalable Azure infrastructure using Microsoft Bicep and PowerShell, developing Azure DevOps YAML CI/CD pipelines, and troubleshooting infrastructure or application code issues. Additional duties include managing user access through EntraID and Azure IAM, conducting application security and code quality reviews with tools like Snyk and Sonar Cloud, and assisting IT teams with onboarding new Azure infrastructure. The role also involves recommending best DevOps practices based on industry standards and participating in daily Agile stand-up meetings to report on work progress.
Candidates should have a minimum of three years' experience deploying and maintaining Azure PaaS resources and working with Azure DevOps Repos and Pipelines. Proficiency in languages such as PowerShell, C#, and Python is required, along with at least two years' experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like AzureRM, Bicep, or Terraform. Familiarity with EntraID or Active Directory, Identity and Access Management (IAM), containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Azure Container Apps, AKS), and the Atlassian product suite (Jira, Jira Service Management, Confluence) is also desired. Strong communication skills to articulate DevOps best practices and the ability to translate technical requirements into business solutions are essential. Microsoft certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-204, AZ-305, AZ-400, AZ-500, AZ-900) and experience with code security and quality tools are considered advantageous.
The position offers a competitive salary range of $155,000 to $180,000 USD annually, with eligibility for benefits including a 401(k) retirement savings plan, medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance.
