Director, Ad Operations & Technology
The Director of Ad Operations & Technology at PlayStation Global is responsible for leading the strategy and execution of the company's global advertising technology and operations ecosystem. This role focuses on shaping the future of PlayStation's ad tech approach, driving the growth of programmatic and customer-focused monetization, and building a high-performing global organization. The position is based in San Mateo, CA, with a hybrid work arrangement.
Key responsibilities include defining and implementing the global ad tech roadmap, encompassing ad serving, programmatic monetization, audience targeting, measurement, and privacy-first data activation. The director will lead build-versus-buy decisions, vendor selection, and platform integrations in partnership with Product and Engineering teams. Additionally, the role involves driving the evolution toward scalable, automated, and audience-based advertising solutions.
The ideal candidate should have over 15 years of experience in ad technology, ad operations, or digital monetization, with a deep understanding of programmatic advertising, ad tech platforms, and yield optimization. Proven experience in owning and evolving complex ad tech stacks, leading global, distributed teams, and managing managers is essential. Strong critical thinking skills combined with hands-on operational execution are required. Experience in gaming, entertainment, streaming, or premium digital platforms is preferred, along with familiarity with global data privacy and advertising regulations such as GDPR and CCPA.
The estimated base pay range for this role is between $189,900 and $284,900 USD annually.
