Director, Commercial Legal
Remote is seeking a Director of Commercial Legal to lead and expand its commercial legal function. This role involves building a team and establishing processes for contract management, negotiations, and scaling commercial legal operations. The position reports directly to the General Counsel and is fully remote, offering flexibility for candidates worldwide.
In this role, you will oversee all commercial legal activities, including drafting, negotiating, and finalizing a wide range of agreements such as customer contracts, vendor agreements, and partnership deals. You will collaborate closely with Sales, Revenue Operations, and Finance teams to ensure that legal terms align with business objectives. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing scalable contracting frameworks, implementing contract lifecycle management systems, and creating internal training materials to enhance efficiency and compliance.
The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in drafting and negotiating enterprise commercial agreements within a B2B SaaS or cloud environment. A strong background in supporting fast-paced sales organizations and a proven ability to build commercial legal infrastructure are essential. Experience with contract lifecycle management platforms and a passion for process improvement and automation are highly valued.
