Director, Financial & Corporate Communications

Motive is seeking a Director of Financial & Corporate Communications to lead the development and execution of high-impact communications across corporate, financial, and internal channels. This role is crucial in shaping and protecting the company's brand and financial narrative, ensuring consistent and compelling messaging across all key stakeholders, including media, employees, investors, shareholders, and partners. The position is based in San Francisco, California, with a hybrid work arrangement.

The Director will be responsible for supporting and executing the company's corporate PR strategy, including executive visibility for the CEO and CFO, crisis and reputation communications, and media and investor engagement. Key duties include drafting press releases, media statements, executive quotes, and investor messaging. The role also involves developing strategies to raise visibility through earned media, owned channels, awards, and speaking opportunities, as well as advising internal and external stakeholders on communication strategy and positioning.

Candidates should have over 15 years of experience in corporate communications and public relations, with a specific focus on corporate and financial communications, as well as issues and reputation management. Experience in B2B and public companies is required, along with a proven track record of supporting high-growth technology companies through major funding, scaling, or pre-IPO phases. Strong media relations skills, experience in both in-house and PR agency environments, and familiarity with M&A communications are also essential.

The base compensation range for this role is $170,000 to $240,000 USD annually.
