Director International Accounting & Tax Compliance
The Director, International Accounting & Tax Compliance at Atlas HXM is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the financial management of the company's global subsidiary network. Reporting directly to the VP, Global Controller, this position manages an international accounting team and ensures the integrity of financial reporting across all international entities. The role is pivotal in supporting Atlas HXM's mission to provide services and technology that enable global talent management.
Key responsibilities include overseeing monthly and quarterly close processes for all international subsidiaries, preparing and reviewing financial statements in accordance with local GAAP, and maintaining robust accounting policies and internal controls. The director will also manage external auditors and tax advisors globally, ensuring compliance with local and international tax obligations, including VAT/GST and transfer pricing regulations. Additionally, the role involves coordinating with various teams such as Payroll, Treasury, and Legal to ensure adherence to local payroll regulations and statutory requirements.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong operational and technical accounting background, with experience in managing international accounting teams. They should be adept at working independently across different time zones while maintaining proactive coordination with headquarters. Strong leadership capabilities, strategic thinking, and the ability to handle complex transactions related to intercompany arrangements and foreign currency are essential for success in this role.
