Director, Legal and Business Affairs - American Bitcoin

The Director of Legal and Business Affairs at American Bitcoin Corp (ABTC), a subsidiary of Hut 8, will play a pivotal role at the intersection of law, strategy, and operations. This position involves direct collaboration with the General Counsel on high-stakes transactions, SEC filings, and various business initiatives, contributing significantly to the company's growth and compliance.

Key responsibilities include supporting corporate transactions such as capital markets activities, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic partnerships. The role also entails drafting and reviewing legal documents, assisting with SEC reporting and compliance, and preparing materials for board and committee meetings. Beyond legal duties, the director will manage discrete business and operational projects, develop internal processes, and coordinate across internal teams and external counsel to ensure seamless execution of company objectives.

Candidates should possess 2–5 years of experience in a major law firm, with substantial exposure to corporate, M&A, capital markets, or securities work. Active admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction is required. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a startup mentality, strong written and verbal communication skills, and a genuine interest in Bitcoin and the cryptocurrency industry.
