Director, Marketplace

The Director, Marketplace at Wolt is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end performance of the marketplace across designated markets. This role entails full ownership of the profit and loss (P&L) statement, ensuring a balance between demand, supply, delivery quality, customer experience, and financial performance. The position requires cross-functional collaboration with teams such as Merchant, Operations, Marketing, Support, Finance, and Product to drive sustainable results.

Key responsibilities include managing the P&L to achieve core objectives like Gross Order Value (GOV), revenue, and contribution margin. The Director conducts regular performance reviews, identifies growth opportunities, and addresses operational risks. Maintaining marketplace health is crucial, involving balancing supply and demand to ensure a strong customer experience and healthy unit economics. The role also involves leading geographic expansion initiatives, enhancing merchant assortment, and implementing occasion-based strategies to drive growth.

The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in marketplace management, with a proven track record in P&L ownership and cross-functional leadership. Strong analytical skills are essential for performance evaluation and strategic decision-making. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities are required to align various stakeholders and drive execution.
