Director of Commercial Legal

Karat is seeking a Director of Commercial Legal to lead and manage all legal aspects of its commercial operations. This role involves providing strategic legal counsel on a variety of commercial agreements, including services and software contracts, with a focus on dynamic, usage-based pricing models. The Director will collaborate closely with go-to-market leaders and finance teams to negotiate enterprise-level customer agreements that align with Karat's sales cycles and capacity. Additionally, the position requires defining and maintaining AI governance frameworks for commercial legal matters, ensuring that contract terms, risk postures, and data ownership provisions are legally sound and compliant with evolving regulatory requirements.
