Director of Legal Operations

The Director of Legal Operations at Lightning AI will serve as the operational backbone of the Legal team, reporting directly to the VP of Legal. This senior role is pivotal in scaling the legal function to match the company's rapid growth in AI infrastructure. The position is based in either New York City or San Francisco, with a hybrid work arrangement requiring two days per week in the office.

Key responsibilities include developing and executing the Legal team's operational strategy, setting quarterly priorities, and tracking progress against departmental goals. The role involves establishing metrics and dashboards to provide real-time visibility into workload and performance. Additionally, the Director will evaluate, implement, and manage legal technology platforms such as Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) systems and regulatory tools, ensuring their integration with enterprise systems.

The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in legal operations, preferably within technology companies or law firms. Experience in startup or high-growth environments is essential. Proficiency in managing legal technology platforms, including CLM systems and KYC tools, is required. The candidate should also have a strong background in corporate entity management, cap table administration, and intellectual property licensing.
