Director, Regulatory and Government Affairs

Hut 8 is seeking a seasoned Head of Regulatory & Government Affairs to lead and navigate the evolving state and federal policies impacting our data center operations. This strategic leadership role is pivotal in shaping energy policy, securing development incentives, and ensuring regulatory compliance to support our growth in AI, Colocation, Cloud, and Bitcoin Mining services.

The successful candidate will develop and execute a proactive policy agenda aligned with our organizational goals in energy, water use, conservation, and economic development. Responsibilities include tracking and analyzing federal and state legislation, advocating for favorable regulatory outcomes, and collaborating closely with executive leadership to align policy priorities.

Key qualifications include over 10 years of experience in government affairs, regulatory strategy, or public policy leadership within the energy or infrastructure sectors. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the U.S. regulatory landscape, including energy markets, utilities, conservation policy, and public incentives. Strong strategic thinking, exceptional communication skills, and proven leadership experience are essential.
