Director / Senior Principal AI SoC Validation (Bring-up lead)
Graphcore is seeking a Director or Senior Principal AI SoC Validation (Bring-up Lead) to spearhead the post-silicon validation of our next-generation AI compute systems. This role is pivotal in ensuring that pre-production software operates reliably on new silicon and that the silicon meets the highest standards of quality, reliability, and functionality for production deployment. The position is based at our new AI Engineering Campus in Bengaluru, India, which plays a central role in Graphcore's mission to build the future of AI computing.
In this leadership role, you will define and lead the post-silicon validation strategy for our AI SoCs, ensuring timely delivery of validated silicon with architectural correctness and feature robustness. Your responsibilities include driving cross-domain debugging and issue resolution across silicon, firmware, operating systems, and platform interactions. You will collaborate closely with design, software, and validation teams to align on quality objectives and debug priorities, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and advancing automation and scalable validation processes.
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent, with a Master's preferred, and possesses 15 to 20 years of experience in silicon, system, or platform validation, including 5 to 10 years in technical leadership roles. Proven experience leading post-silicon validation and bring-up for complex SoCs (AI, GPU, or CPU) is essential. A strong understanding of SoC architecture, coherency protocols, power management, and interconnects is required, along with expertise in debug tools, DFT infrastructure, and validation automation frameworks. Proficiency in C/C++, Python, and Linux-based environments is necessary, with experience in large-scale validation clusters considered an advantage. Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills are also crucial.
