Engelhart, a diversified commodities trading company founded in 2013 by BTG Pactual Group, is seeking a DMA Operations Lead to oversee the daily operations of its new Direct Market Access (DMA) business in London. This role involves managing client onboarding, system access, trade entry, confirmations, and settlements, serving as the primary link between Engelhart's trading team and BTG Pactual. The position offers an opportunity to play a central role in a growing business, focusing primarily on energy markets.

Key responsibilities include managing the operational aspects of the DMA client business from start to finish, including client onboarding, system access, trade entry, confirmations, and settlements. The role also involves managing trade capture and entry, including Trayport access and setup for DMA clients, owning the confirmations process, resolving breaks and queries with counterparties, and working through trade errors and discrepancies with traders. Additionally, the position requires building strong working relationships with traders and clients, adapting existing systems and processes to support DMA activity, liaising with external parties such as exchanges, platforms, clearers, and counterparties, and collaborating with credit, legal, and treasury functions. Continuous review and improvement of processes and controls as volumes and the client base grow are also essential.

The ideal candidate should have approximately five years of operations experience within an established sell-side DMA business, with a background at an investment bank, utility, or trading house offering DMA. Familiarity with energy exchanges and clearing, such as ICE and EEX, is key, along with hands-on experience of trade entry and Trayport. A strong working knowledge of eConfirms and the confirmations process, solid understanding of energy market products, terminology, and counterparties, and experience working directly with traders to resolve trade errors are essential. The candidate should also possess the confidence to build relationships with traders and push back when needed, and the ability to integrate quickly within existing systems while managing external parties. Experience in client onboarding and exchange or platform access setup for DMA clients is highly desirable.

Engelhart offers competitive compensation and participation in its discretionary bonus plan. Employees receive 25 days of annual holiday entitlement, excluding UK public holidays, and a robust benefits package that includes medical, dental, life insurance, generous pension contributions, and supplemental benefits partially subsidized by the company. Eligibility to receive external and internal training in accordance with Engelhart's Training & Development Policy is also provided.

Engelhart fosters a highly collaborative culture across products and competencies, driven by its core values of Performance, Agility, Collaboration, and Entrepreneurship. The company emphasizes inclusivity and is dedicated to ensuring all employees feel welcome and included, promoting diversity as essential to its ability to think holistically. This role presents an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team and contribute to the growth and success of Engelhart's DMA business.
