Dutch (Suriname/Caribbean) Language Expert - Freelance AI Trainer Project

The Dutch (Suriname/Caribbean) Language Expert role is a freelance position within the AI Trainer Project at Invisible Agency. This initiative focuses on enhancing AI language models to better understand and process the unique linguistic characteristics of Dutch as spoken in Suriname and the Caribbean, thereby improving communication, education, and cultural preservation efforts.

Key responsibilities include engaging with advanced language models in Dutch across diverse topics, assessing linguistic accuracy and cultural relevance, identifying and documenting errors, and providing recommendations to refine prompt engineering and evaluation metrics. The role demands a deep understanding of regional grammar, orthography, pronunciation patterns, idiomatic expressions, and cultural references.

Candidates should possess a Master's degree in Linguistics, Translation, Dutch Language, Literature, or a related field. Professional experience in teaching, translation, localization, or editorial work is highly desirable. Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate metacognitively are essential for success in this role.

Compensation ranges from $8 to $65 per hour, determined based on experience, expertise, and geographic location. As a contractor, the individual is expected to provide a secure computer and high-speed internet connection. Company-sponsored benefits such as health insurance and paid time off are not included.
