The E-Discovery Project Coordinator will lead e-discovery workflows within Harvard University's Office of the General Counsel. This role involves administering legal holds, executing data collections across platforms like Microsoft 365 and Google Vault, and managing vendor relationships. The coordinator will collaborate with Harvard's IT department and outside counsel to ensure timely, compliant, and cost-effective discovery processes.

Key responsibilities include managing e-discovery case management, custodians, legal holds, data collections, review sets, and exports. The coordinator will define and enforce standard operating procedures and quality controls across the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) workflow. Additionally, they will draft, issue, track, and release legal hold notices, monitor compliance, and maintain audit-ready logs. The role also involves coordinating with IT on data security and information governance settings.

Candidates should have 3–5+ years of hands-on e-discovery experience with tools like Microsoft Purview eDiscovery, Google Vault, or Exterro. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 data sources (Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams) and Google Vault is required. A strong understanding of EDRM, Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (FRCP), and defensible preservation/collection standards is essential. Excellent documentation, project management, and stakeholder communication skills are also necessary.
