E-Scooter Field Operations Specialist - Newark, NJ

Bird is seeking an E-Scooter Field Operations Specialist in Newark, NJ, to manage the deployment and maintenance of its electric scooter fleet. This role is integral to Bird's mission of providing cleaner, affordable, and on-demand mobility solutions globally. The Operations Partner will collaborate closely with the local City Operations Manager to ensure the fleet meets the transportation needs of the Newark community.

Key responsibilities include overseeing the end-to-end operation of the scooter fleet, which involves charging, deploying, relocating, and retrieving vehicles. The role requires proactive problem-solving, effective task prioritization, and the ability to work independently. Utilizing mobile technology, the Operations Partner will monitor and maintain the fleet to ensure scooters are safe, environmentally friendly, and readily available for riders.

Candidates must possess a registered business LLC, general liability insurance, and commercial auto insurance, or the ability to acquire them within 30 days of onboarding. A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle are essential. Strong knowledge of Newark's local geography and flexible availability, including weekends, are required. The role also demands physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and a self-motivated, energetic, and driven attitude.
