Electrical Estimator

Latitude Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team in Havre De Grace, MD. This full-time, on-site role focuses on supporting both residential and commercial construction projects by preparing accurate cost estimates and assisting in the bid process.

The Electrical Estimator will review blueprints, specifications, and project documents to develop precise estimates. Responsibilities include performing quantity takeoffs for labor, materials, and equipment, creating competitive project bids and proposals, and collaborating with project managers, vendors, and subcontractors. The role also involves soliciting and evaluating supplier and subcontractor pricing, maintaining cost databases, and identifying cost-saving opportunities and potential project risks.

Candidates should have at least 3 years of electrical estimating experience in both residential and commercial sectors. A strong understanding of electrical systems, materials, and installation methods is essential, along with the ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Proficiency in estimating software such as Accubid, Bluebeam, or PlanSwift, as well as Microsoft Excel, is required. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are also important.

Preferred qualifications include a background as an electrician or field experience, experience with both ground-up and renovation projects, and knowledge of local codes and industry standards.
