Sandstone is seeking versatile engineers, builders, and designers to join our dynamic team in New York City. As a member of our engineering department, you will play a pivotal role in developing our AI-driven platform designed to transform in-house legal teams into strategic partners. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
In this role, you will collaborate cross-functionally to design, build, and iterate on core product features. You will own projects end-to-end, from concept through implementation and launch, ensuring that customer feedback is directly incorporated into the product. Flexibility is key, as you will tackle various challenges, sometimes outside your primary area of expertise, while contributing to a high-performing and supportive team culture.
The ideal candidate possesses 4 to 20+ years of experience as a full-stack engineer, machine learning engineer, data scientist, product designer, or product engineer at a leading startup, growth-stage, or big tech company. Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of major products or significant portions thereof is essential. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams are required. A strong ownership mindset, bias toward action, and a background as a former founder, side project builder, or hacker mentality are highly valued.
