Engineering Manager II
GoCardless, a global leader in bank payments, is seeking an Engineering Manager II to lead a cross-functional team in developing intelligent payment solutions. The team, comprising engineers, designers, and data scientists, focuses on building products that leverage machine learning and AI to enhance payment success and reduce fraud. This role is based in Riga, Latvia, and offers the opportunity to work on innovative projects within a dynamic and growing company.
As an Engineering Manager II, you will oversee the development and delivery of payment intelligence products, ensuring high-quality and reliable systems. Your responsibilities include managing the team, setting technical direction, and collaborating with product managers to define and prioritize initiatives. You will also be accountable for the operational excellence of the systems your team builds, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Ideal candidates will have a strong background in software engineering, with experience in Python, Ruby on Rails, and JavaScript/React. A proven track record in leading cross-functional teams, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to building reliable, well-tested systems are essential. Experience in machine learning and AI applications within the payments industry is highly desirable.
GoCardless offers a competitive base salary ranging from €64,000 to €96,000, depending on experience.
