Enterprise Project Manager
Canonical is seeking an Enterprise Project Manager to oversee complex projects involving open-source technologies across various environments, including bare metal, cloud, and edge computing. This role is integral to Canonical's mission of accelerating open-source adoption in the global enterprise technology market. The successful candidate will join a globally distributed team dedicated to delivering innovative solutions to a diverse clientele.
The Enterprise Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring that programs and projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget. Key duties include identifying and mitigating technical and project risks, maintaining strong customer relationships, conducting regular status meetings and business reviews, managing third-party deliverables, and advocating for Canonical's technologies to clients. The role requires proactive risk management and a commitment to driving project success.
Candidates should possess experience in enterprise IT programs, process improvement, and software engineering project management. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are essential, along with experience leading cross-cultural, remote, and global project teams. Strong negotiation and influencing abilities, a deep understanding of Linux, open-source, and cloud technologies, and a bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline are required. Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification, Agile Project Management certification (preferably Scrum Master), and the ability to travel domestically and internationally are also necessary.
