Executive Director, Banyan Software Foundation & Head of Impact
Banyan Software is seeking a purpose-driven leader to serve as the Executive Director of the Banyan Software Foundation and Head of Impact. This dual role involves overseeing the Foundation's philanthropic initiatives and leading Banyan's broader impact strategy. The Foundation, endowed with a $100 million USD stock commitment, focuses on equal access to education, upskilling for the future of work, and technologies advancing environmental sustainability. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and the Foundation's Board of Directors, this leader will be jointly supported by the Foundation and Banyan Software.
Key responsibilities include establishing the mission, vision, and governance of the Foundation, developing and executing strategic plans, and overseeing compliance and financial management. The Executive Director will build programs that bring the Foundation's mission to life across Banyan, develop storytelling strategies to capture the human impact of grants, and create opportunities for employee engagement. Additionally, the role involves serving as the face of the Foundation to partners and the community, leading PR and content strategies, and building partnerships with aligned organizations.
The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of leadership experience in corporate social impact, philanthropy, or purpose-driven organizations. They should possess a strategic, outcomes-oriented approach to philanthropy, experience managing budgets and working with boards, and strong communication and storytelling skills. An entrepreneurial and collaborative mindset is essential, along with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, human resources, finance, or a related field.
The expected base salary for this position is CAD $140,000 to $170,000, excluding annual bonus and equity, with the final amount depending on market conditions, location, and job-related skills and experience.
