Export Control & Regulatory Compliance Project Manager
Graphcore is seeking an Export Control & Regulatory Compliance Project Manager to join our team in Austin, Texas. As a leader in Artificial Intelligence computing systems, Graphcore designs advanced semiconductors and data center hardware that drive AI innovation. This role is integral to ensuring our products comply with export control regulations, supporting our mission to build the future of AI computing.
In this position, you will be responsible for classifying products and test chip variants under the EAR/ECCN framework, managing BIS license applications, and handling deemed export authorizations. You will also develop and maintain automated classification tools, establish Technology Transfer Agreements, and create workflows to reduce classification bottlenecks. Additionally, you will oversee export control screening for international shipments and customer transfers, design export control decision trees, and develop product databases with standardized identifiers.
The ideal candidate will have over five years of export control experience in the semiconductor, hardware, or technology industry. A deep understanding of EAR regulations, ECCN classifications, and BIS licensing procedures is essential. Experience with deemed export controls, international technology transfer, and the ability to automate manual processes using tools like Excel and databases are also required. A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, International Trade, or a related field is necessary, along with direct experience classifying hardware, software, and technical data under EAR.
