Field Engineer
Boingo Wireless is seeking a Field Engineer to oversee network installations in the Frisco, Texas area. This role involves managing Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), WLAN, and Small Cell networks to ensure optimal performance in large-scale venues. The Field Engineer will collaborate with a dedicated team to address complex technical challenges and maintain high standards of service.
Key responsibilities include managing procurement to ensure cost efficiency and budget adherence for hardware and subcontractor labor. The Field Engineer will optimize network performance by working with system integrators and the operations deployment team during commissioning and integration. Additional duties involve reviewing system integrator reports for compliance with carrier KPIs, analyzing system health data, conducting quality control checks, performing routine health checks, and generating performance reports for stakeholders.
Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as a DAS or Cellular Field Engineer. Familiarity with DAS OEMs such as CommScope, JMA, Corning Mobile Access, and SOLiD is essential. The role requires the ability to read and interpret construction drawings, RF schematics, and blueprints. Physical requirements include the ability to lift 50 lbs., work outdoors, on ladders, and in confined spaces. Experience with electrical wiring, ESD products, and working in construction or installation environments with minimal supervision is also necessary.

The starting pay range for this position is $86,450 to $108,300 per year, plus participation in the company's bonus program.
