Finance Lead

Hyphen Connect is a Bitcoin Layer 2 project focused on enhancing the utility of the world's leading digital asset. As the ecosystem expands, the company seeks a Finance Lead to establish and manage its financial operations. This role is pivotal in integrating traditional financial practices with the dynamic realm of Bitcoin-native finance, ensuring precise accounting and efficient payroll systems for a globally distributed team.

The Finance Lead will oversee the complete accounting cycle, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger maintenance, and month-end closings for both fiat and Bitcoin-denominated transactions. Responsibilities also encompass managing global crypto-to-fiat payroll, handling multi-currency distributions, and monitoring the project's liquid assets to ensure secure storage and timely conversion for operational expenses. Additionally, the role involves implementing crypto-native accounting software to automate transaction reconciliation and collaborating with external partners to maintain compliance with international tax laws related to digital assets.

Candidates should possess over five years of experience in finance or accounting roles, with proven proficiency in both crypto accounting tools (such as Bitwave, Cryptio, Tres) and traditional platforms (like QuickBooks, Xero). Direct experience in managing international payroll involving digital assets and fiat currencies is essential. A strong understanding of Bitcoin-native concepts, including UTXOs, the Lightning Network, and Layer 2 scaling solutions, is required. A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is necessary, and professional certifications like CPA or ACCA are advantageous.
