Finance Lead
Hyphen Connect is a Bitcoin Layer 2 project focused on enhancing the utility of Bitcoin, the world's leading digital asset. As the company expands its ecosystem, it seeks a Finance Lead to anchor its financial operations. This role is pivotal in merging traditional financial practices with the dynamic realm of Bitcoin-native finance, ensuring precise accounting and efficient payroll systems for a globally distributed team.
The Finance Lead will oversee the complete accounting cycle, managing accounts payable and receivable, maintaining the general ledger, and closing monthly accounts for both fiat and Bitcoin-denominated transactions. Responsibilities include supervising global crypto-to-fiat payroll, handling multi-currency distributions, and managing the project's liquid assets to ensure secure storage and timely conversion for operational expenses. Additionally, the role involves implementing and optimizing crypto-native accounting software to automate transaction reconciliation and reporting, while ensuring compliance with international tax laws and reporting requirements related to digital asset holdings.
Candidates should possess over five years of experience in finance or accounting roles, with proven proficiency in both crypto accounting tools (such as Bitwave, Cryptio, Tres) and traditional platforms (like QuickBooks, Xero). Direct experience in managing international payroll involving digital assets and fiat currencies is essential. A strong understanding of Bitcoin-native concepts, including UTXOs, the Lightning Network, or Layer 2 scaling solutions, is required. A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is necessary, and professional certifications like CPA or ACCA are advantageous.
