Fleet Manager- Cochrane (Contract)

Bird, a global leader in micromobility, is seeking a Fleet Manager in Cochrane, Alberta, to oversee the local fleet of e-scooters and e-bikes. This role is essential for ensuring that the community has access to safe, fully charged, and well-maintained vehicles. As an independent contractor, you will have the flexibility to manage your own schedule and operations, contributing to Bird's mission of transforming urban mobility.

In this position, you will be responsible for transporting e-scooters and e-bikes using your own vehicle, charging them in a secure location, and monitoring their performance through Bird's technology. Your tasks will include deploying and retrieving vehicles, relocating them to high-demand areas, and performing minor maintenance to ensure optimal functionality. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and efficient time management to meet the operational needs of the market.

Ideal candidates should own or have consistent access to a large vehicle (van or truck) suitable for transporting multiple scooters or bikes. Access to a garage or commercial facility with electricity for overnight charging is highly preferred. A valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driving record is required. Physical capabilities include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks such as bending, walking, and standing for extended periods. Familiarity with Cochrane's local geography and a flexible schedule, including weekends, are essential.

Compensation is performance-based, with earnings directly tied to the volume of vehicles managed and operational efficiency. This structure offers the potential for significant income based on individual performance. As an independent contractor, you will be responsible for your own tools, equipment, and associated expenses.
