General Counsel
The General Counsel at Zenoti will lead the company's Legal team, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements while providing strategic legal guidance to the executive team. As a key member of the leadership team, the General Counsel will support Zenoti's IPO journey, manage corporate governance, and oversee all legal matters related to contracts, employment, intellectual property, and risk management. The role will also ensure that legal practices effectively support a globally distributed workforce and operations.
Key responsibilities include developing and implementing legal strategies to support Zenoti's business objectives and mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations across all geographies where Zenoti operates, and partnering with the CFO and executive team to manage all legal aspects of IPO readiness, including drafting and reviewing SEC filings. The General Counsel will also oversee corporate governance practices, provide legal support for fundraising efforts, advise on corporate capital structure, review and negotiate key contracts, and establish efficient processes for contract management and approvals. Additionally, the role involves identifying and addressing potential legal risks, ensuring compliance with global data privacy and security laws, and aligning legal processes to support global teams and operations.
The ideal candidate will possess a Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active bar membership, with over 12 years of legal experience, including corporate law, compliance, and risk management. Proven experience with IPO preparation, fundraising support, and public company legal requirements is essential. Strong expertise in commercial contracts, capital structure, and data privacy/security compliance is required, along with demonstrated ability to lead and develop a Legal team. Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills are necessary, and experience managing legal operations across multiple geographies is highly preferred.
Zenoti offers a competitive salary range of $250,000 to $300,000 USD for this position.
