General Manager, Brazil
The General Manager for Brazil is responsible for establishing and scaling Kira's presence in the Brazilian market. This role owns all aspects of Kira's business in Brazil: market strategy, government and institutional relationships, go-to-market execution, and team building. Brazil represents a massive opportunity, one of the world's largest education systems spanning K-12, higher education, and workforce development, and this role will determine whether Kira captures it.
This is a country-building role. The GM Brazil must operate as an entrepreneur within Kira, making smart decisions with limited resources while building toward a significant business.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Market Strategy & Entry
- Work with Kira’s partners in Brazil to develop the company’s market strategy, identifying the most promising entry points: federal programs, state systems, municipal networks, private schools, universities, or corporate training.
- Understand the Brazilian education landscape deeply: policy environment, funding mechanisms, decision-making processes, and competitive dynamics across all levels of education.
- Adapt Kira's positioning and product-market fit for Brazilian educators, institutions, and administrators.
Government & Institutional Relationships
- Build relationships with key stakeholders: Ministry of Education (MEC), state secretaries of education, municipal education leaders, and influential educators.
- Navigate Brazilian public sector procurement: understand how decisions get made, funded, and implemented.
- Position Kira for major government programs and initiatives, including BNCC alignment and digital education investments.
- Leverage existing Kira proof points (El Salvador, US deployments) to build credibility.
Sales & Business Development
- Own revenue targets for Brazil and build the pipeline to achieve them.
