Canonical is seeking a Global Head of GSI Alliances to lead business development and partnerships with Global System Integrators (GSIs). As the publisher of Ubuntu, Canonical is expanding into the enterprise market, where GSIs play a crucial role in delivering private cloud, container, and public cloud solutions. This role reports to the VP of Global Alliances and Channels and involves leading a team to develop strategic go-to-market initiatives.

The Global Head of GSI Alliances will own and drive the GSI partner strategy, including forecasting, bookings, and revenue growth. Responsibilities include building strategic relationships with partners at executive levels, guiding product management and marketing efforts, and scaling these through the global sales organization. The role also encompasses promoting GSI-related activities, such as campaigns, strategic opportunities, and events like Canonical's annual GSI executive summit.

Candidates should have experience in alliance and indirect sales management roles, particularly within the GSI sector. A deep understanding of revenue and margins, proven leadership and presentation skills, and insight into open source technologies, including Ubuntu and Canonical's competitive landscape, are essential. A track record of data-driven decision-making and an autonomous, disciplined approach are also required.

Canonical offers a distributed work environment with twice-yearly in-person team sprints, a personal learning and development budget of USD 2,000 per year, annual compensation reviews, recognition rewards, annual holiday leave, maternity and paternity leave, a Team Member Assistance Program and Wellness Platform, opportunities to travel to new locations to meet colleagues, and Priority Pass and travel upgrades for long-haul company events.

Canonical is a pioneering tech firm at the forefront of the global move to open source. As the company that publishes Ubuntu, one of the most important open-source projects and the platform for AI, IoT, and the cloud, Canonical is changing the world of software. The company recruits globally and sets a high standard for its team, expecting excellence to succeed. Most colleagues at Canonical have worked from home since its inception in 2004, offering a step into the future that challenges individuals to think differently, work smarter, learn new skills, and raise their game.
