GTM Strategy & Operations, Tinker
The GTM Strategy & Operations lead at Thinking Machines Lab will spearhead the commercialization efforts for Tinker, a fine-tuning API designed to empower researchers and developers in customizing frontier AI models. This role involves crafting strategies, processes, and playbooks to transform organic adoption into a scalable and repeatable revenue engine, working closely with product, engineering, and research teams.
Key responsibilities include designing and executing commercialization strategies such as pricing, packaging, and launch sequencing based on market and competitive research. The role also involves developing go-to-market motions across various customer profiles, managing partnerships to expand Tinker's distribution, and creating customer pilots and onboarding flows to transition accounts from experimentation to production spend. Additionally, the lead will build commercial playbooks to enable customer-facing engineers to effectively position and sell the platform, and define success metrics for launches and GTM initiatives.
Required qualifications include a proven track record in executing GTM strategy, product commercialization, or business operations within a technology company, experience in selling technical products to technical buyers, and proficiency in analytics for financial models and commercialization decisions. Preferred qualifications encompass experience at developer infrastructure, API, or ML platform companies, technical fluency to engage with ML engineers, and familiarity with the AI ecosystem and competitive landscape for fine-tuning.
The position is based in San Francisco, California, with an expected annual salary range of $175,000 to $300,000 USD, depending on background, skills, and experience.
