Head of Design
Mesh is seeking a Head of Design to lead the creation of a seamless and intuitive user experience for its global crypto payments platform. This role involves overseeing the design of both consumer applications and merchant interfaces, ensuring consistency and usability across all touchpoints. The Head of Design will be instrumental in shaping the product's visual and functional aspects, aligning them with Mesh's mission to make crypto payments reliable and ubiquitous.
In this position, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end design process, from initial concept through to final implementation. This includes defining user flows, creating wireframes and prototypes, and conducting user testing to refine the product. You will also lead and mentor a team of designers, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and high-quality design output. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that design solutions meet both user needs and business objectives.
The ideal candidate will have over eight years of experience in product design, with at least three years in a leadership role. A strong portfolio demonstrating successful consumer product designs at scale is essential. Experience in designing complex systems where reliability is critical, such as financial services or infrastructure, is highly valued. Proficiency in design tools and a solid understanding of design principles are required. While experience in payments or fintech is advantageous, it is not mandatory.
Compensation for this role includes an annual base salary ranging from $2,290,000 to $3,000,000, plus equity. The position is based in San Francisco or New York, with a preference for candidates located in San Francisco.
