The HR Generalist at Morgan & Morgan serves as a hands-on, local HR presence supporting multiple Regional HR Managers. This role focuses on employee relations support, time and attendance administration, onboarding coordination, local engagement efforts, and day-to-day HR execution. Operating from a regional office, the Generalist maximizes face-to-face interaction with employees and leaders, ensuring consistent, compliant, and people-centered HR support.

Key responsibilities include serving as the local HR point of contact for employees and leaders, providing front-line support and guidance. The Generalist supports employee relations matters, including intake, documentation, coaching conversations, and escalation to Regional HR Managers as appropriate. Assisting with time and attendance issues, PTO inquiries, and basic payroll coordination is also part of the role. The Generalist coordinates onboarding logistics, background checks, orientation support, and first-day readiness. Supporting disciplinary and corrective action processes by preparing documentation and tracking steps is another key responsibility. Assisting with offboarding processes, including exit logistics and system notifications, is also part of the role. Administering and supporting employee understanding of benefits and leave programs, escalating complex cases as needed, is essential. Serving as a culture and engagement liaison, supporting local events and recognition efforts, is also part of the role. Maintaining accurate records and timely updates in HR systems and HRIS platforms is crucial. Partnering with Regional HR Managers to ensure consistent application of policies and procedures and supporting compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws are also key aspects of the role.

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A minimum of 3–5 years of progressive HR experience is preferred, with experience in a multi-location or high-volume environment being advantageous. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with high attention to detail and follow-through. The candidate should be able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and exercise sound judgment and discretion. A high level of integrity and confidentiality is required, along with a working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems is necessary, and the candidate should be comfortable working in-office and serving as a visible HR presence.
