HR Policy & Risk Manager (Contractor)
The HR Policy & Risk Manager (Contractor) at Legend Biotech is responsible for ensuring that human resources operations and programs align with internal controls, external regulations, and the company's risk management strategies. This role operates across multiple workstreams focused on risk identification, control implementation, policy compliance, and internal auditing, serving as a second line of defense by providing oversight of HR risks, compliance, and governance in alignment with broader enterprise risk management.
Key responsibilities include overseeing the implementation and monitoring of controls across HR policies and processes, conducting quarterly control assessments, leading or supporting internal HR audits, monitoring and assessing HR risks using data-driven metrics, and maintaining oversight of employee investigations to ensure objectivity and compliance. The role also involves developing, maintaining, and governing HR policies and procedures, owning SOX-related HR controls, contributing to company-wide compliance and risk management, preparing risk reports and audit summaries, and serving as a central point of contact for HR risk, audit, and policy-related inquiries.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Risk Management, Compliance, or a related field, with a master's degree being a plus. Relevant certifications such as PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP/SCP, or Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) are preferred. A minimum of 5 years of experience in HR, compliance, internal audit, risk management, or a similar function is required, along with a strong understanding of risk management principles and compliance frameworks. Familiarity with HR systems, data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and internal audit practices is essential. The candidate should possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, high attention to detail, integrity, and a proactive approach to compliance.
