Immigration Attorney- Compliance
The United Firm is seeking an experienced Immigration Attorney to join their compliance team in San Juan, PR. This role involves representing clients in immigration proceedings and ensuring compliance with immigration laws.
Key responsibilities include representing non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals, managing a caseload, preparing diverse immigration applications such as removal defense and family-based petitions, reviewing and adjusting immigration applications, collaborating with law enforcement and community organizations on changes in immigration law, conducting strategic immigration consultations with potential clients, providing legal analysis to determine possible case benefits, preparing and submitting legal briefs for various immigration cases, ensuring compliance with immigration regulations, advising internal teams on compliance best practices and policy changes, and participating in auditing matters to ensure compliance before closing.
Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in Immigration Law, be team-oriented, possess strong interpersonal skills, have a proven track record in managing a caseload, and have experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian cases, EOIR, Detained cases, Citizenship, and other USCIS applications. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred but not required. Experience with case management software is also preferred.
