Immigration Attorney- CP/ Waivers
The United Firm is seeking an Associate Consular Processing (CP) Attorney to join their team in San Juan, Puerto Rico. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a dedicated attorney to gain valuable experience and advance their career within a premier law firm. As a Consular Processing Attorney, you will report to the Senior Associate Attorney and collaborate with a team of immigration attorneys and legal assistants.
In this position, you will manage a caseload of CP/Waiver cases, including I-130, I-601A, I-212, I-601, consular processing, and K-Visa applications. Your responsibilities will include preparing clients for consulate interviews, representing clients before USCIS, reviewing immigration applications and packets, and managing a team of paralegals to meet productivity goals and client expectations. Additionally, you will provide legal analysis to clients to determine potential case benefits and prepare and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases.
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 4 years of experience in immigration law, with a proven ability to manage a caseload and move legal cases forward. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred but not required. Experience with Consular Processing applications and Waivers is essential, and familiarity with case management software is preferred. A collaborative team player who is open to helping, strategizing, and working with fellow associates is highly valued.
